Disney's FANTASIA 2000 Ltd. Ed. The Steadfast Tin Soldier Snow Globe #392/1200

This limited edition (#392 of 1200) Fantasia 2000 "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" snow globe is in brand new, mint in the box condition. The snow globe has never been removed from the original box and styrofoam except for photos for this listing. The original box and styrofoam are in their original condition: very good and excellent, respectively.

This snow globe comes with a COA that confirms it is a limited edition strictly limited to 1,200 pieces of which this one is # 392. The snow globe was issued in the year 2000. This snow globe and figurines (soldier and ballerina) are based on the Fantasia 2000 scene depicting "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" with background music Piano Concerto No. 2, Allegro, Opus 102 by the Russian composer and pianist Dmitri Shostakovich born Sept. 25, 1906, died August 9, 1975.

There is no music box in this snow globe. I was told by a Disney collector friend of mine that there was an issue with the Shostakovich Estate and Trust administrators that prevented the snow globe from being produced with a music box playing this classical music piece that was in the Fantasia 2000 film. I can't confirm the veracity of this story but it's a good story, nonetheless. Dimensions: 8.5" L x 8"W x 8.5H.

Weight: 6lb 15oz (snow globe only). There is an approximately 1-1/2 bubble at the apex of the snow globe. This characteristic of snow globes is normal as they age.

The water is crystal clear. By lifting the globe and turning it upside down (careful to not let it slip), the glitter "snow" will become agitated and appear to "snow". The clock works perfectly and only needs a battery to get it started. This is an excellent and rare opportunity for the astute Disneyana collector to acquire a limited edition Disney snow globe in this pristine condition that is rare and hard to find in this exact, MIB with original box and styrofoam packing.
